Want to post as many jazz transcriptions as I can, for your enjoyment, and to better my understanding of classic jazz vocab. I'm thinking of taking suggestions too!

The key is incorrect here. It's a blues in F, not in D.
Blues in F is in D for alto saxophone
Still some of the greatest bars ever played
Perfection

Nice !!!!!!!!! Also see a version of "Au Privave" entirely based on white noise! ua-cam.com/video/-wpIBHSoIJI/v-deo.html

This is an amazing transcription. Do you make it available as a download, please?
Nice work except it is originally in the Key of F for us non alto folks
Key for the transcription is a whole step off the recording. Other than that it's perfect.

Great. Thanks for transcribing this.
Chaque fois que j'entends saxophone colossus, je suis époustouflé par l'art de Rollins qui était déjà à son sommet en 1956

Miles seems to instinctively understand and cut to the essence of a tune. He can say more with 4 quarter notes than any musician I can think of. Heck, he says more than most musicians with what he doesn't play. He demonstrates that less is more.
at bar 36 one of my favourite Bird's line
simple but tasteful
How did you transcribe the chords?
its a rhythm n changes... chords are basically all the same
Can I get a transcription of this
This shit is hard... and it's the Jazz ensemble audition piece D:
my bible

Listened to this while constipated and my shit actually came out. Thanks
anyone have any tips to start learning this and what tempo to take it at
slow it down on UA-cam 8x0.5, 5x0.75, 2xfull speed
just take it at a slow tempo to begin with, and just practice the parts that are most troublesome over and over. as you get it, speed it up more.
Wynn C thanks for the reply i got it down pretty well
Learn it by heart and sing it first with the recording than without it before you play it.
nice job man 👍🏼
great work 👍🏼
Blues or Be bop?
Yes
blues with bebop improvisation
bluesbop!
Concerns me you even have to ask
Amazing!
Miles Davis's time is just sick. Makes the band groove so hard...Like Herbie Hancock has said, Miles would get the band to grooving so hard it was like being in the Garden of Eden.
is there a way to download and print the transcription?
First 10 seconds get control of the reed ... squeak!!

It sounds like the pitch is shifted down a half step which is really weird if you're trying to play along with the recording.
damnnn this is so wrong
there are a lot of mistakes on the notes
Did you mean that Anthony A's transcription is wrong?
Anyone know where i can get this transcription?
Hey!

One of the ways birds solos greatly vary in the the body of his output, is in the manner and degree with which he used own devices, cliches and pet phrases. There are some solos where these seem more “plugged in” 'with varying degrees of repetitiveness (as in the repetitive use of the phrase in question in this solo), some solos where they more directly serve his creativity and merge into the melodic content and structure of the solo, and then other solos where they are far less evident and his playing seems especially creative and free. I think that in this last category bird reaches a transcendent level that remains entirely unsurpassed to this day. For a good example of this listen to his astonishing solo on The Street Beat from the incredible One Night in Birdland with Powell and Navarro.
I am listening to it at .45 speed and air-trumpeting it with my fingers.
Yes!!

What a solo! timing and technique are just marvelous! Musicianship anyway, but that's a given with Miles!
Well! He puts five or six notes in his solo, and it sounds fantastic!
Yep it’s just about good sense of the swing rhythm
Muchas Gracias !
My trumpet is rubbish .It cant play this!
Max Cartwright don’t let gear stop you. My trumpet is fucked up too
We all know this is Parker's solo but it doesn't sound like him playing. Let me know if I am wrong.
It sounds like Bird to me.
Yep you’re wrong.
@@rightchordleadership If this is Bird maybe he was banged up from the night before. Still doesn't sound like Bird's timing to me.
who else ?
